about
Margot an exclusive bergère armchair with a high back, distinguished by comfort and exquisite Italian design, a tubular metal structure and eye-catching curved wood armrests upholstered in hide leather. New to the collection, it was born from a project by Umberto Asnago, who designed a reading armchair for Bodema with a minimal, conceptual, almost deconstructed look - but no less comfortable and welcoming than the more classic bergère style armchairs.
Care for comfort and attention to aesthetics: with Margot, every detail is carefully studied to create a beautiful and comfortable, minimalist and welcoming seat. Contemporaneity shines through the metal structure – with essential style it supports the rigid shell that acts as a base for the padded seat. Solid but visually light, the cylindrical structure provides a connection point for a pair of curved armrests embellished with a fine leather covering with visible stitching. The skilful mix-match of materials is completed by the upholstery of the armchair, available in a range of removable fabrics, velvets and leathers in dozens of colours and shades.
The formal synthesis of the load-bearing structure is balanced by the welcoming shapes of the seat, made up of removable cushions filled with polyurethane foam of different densities. Optimal support is further guaranteed by the high backrest which accommodates the back in its entirety - from the neck to the lumbar area - using a feather lumbar support cushion and a headrest which remains in place thanks to a small counterweight. The leather band of the little weight deserves a special mention, made to match the sheath that covers the armrests.
