Clara is a modern and compact armchair, only 70 cm wide, characterised by narrow armrests, high metal feet and a large seat cushion. Together with Claretta and Clarissa, it forms a collection of lounge, bedroom and dining room armchairs designed by the Italian designer Umberto Asnago.
Clara features harmonious proportions, contained volumes and small dimensions, and is the result of an attractive design for contemporary living contexts, in search of space-saving solutions that respect certain rules of formal elegance. This is how a small but comfortable reading armchair was born, where every element is designed to save space, and no centimetre is wasted. This is demonstrated by the narrow polyurethane seat, which does not betray the promise of high comfort, and the thin armrests, shaped to guarantee a welcoming feel and support. The quartz grey metal feet also contribute to the aesthetic result and, by raising the structure from the ground, contribute to making the upholstery visually light and pleasant.
Manifesto of Bodema's savoir-faire, Clara wears a handcrafted removable cover, customisable in terms of material and colour in countless variations. The fabric is a perfect fit, but leather and velvet covers are just as expressive. The covers are capable of fully enhancing the small but welcoming silhouette of this reading armchair, designed for a living room but also suitable for enhancing the beauty corner of a refined bedroom. The attention to detail is demonstrated by the flat profile that runs along the armrests, sides, backrest and seat cushion.
