Pop-up is a modern, square storage coffee table composed of a 72 x 100 cm unit and a supporting server measuring 28 x 100 cm, both in canaletto walnut veneered wood. Together, they serve as a central surface in the living room or as a bridging element placed between two upholstered pieces.
Designed by Michele Mantovani for Bodema, this complement makes functionality its strong point. The structure is divided into two free-standing parts that can be used in different areas of the living room. The compartments punctuate the geometries of the entire coffee table, lighten the overall volume and are useful as book and magazine holders. In the upper part, the bronze or anthracite lacquered MDF tray element, which can be moved if necessary, is a dynamic feature that comes in handy when hosting friends at home. The play of solid elements and void captures everyone’s attention, together with the rigorous lines that draw angular silhouettes in living rooms with a modern taste.
Functional and versatile, Pop-up was created to complete the sofa from the same collection. The free-standing elements are designed to space out the seats and complete a relaxation area distinguished by practicality with support surfaces, trays and storage compartments accessible from above. Consequently, even the finishes are carefully selected to fit perfectly with the elements of the sofa of the same name. The bronze or anthracite coloured MDF blends with the aluminium base of the seats, offered in the same colours to create a chromatic bond. At the same time, the canaletto walnut of the structure stands out from the fabric, velvet or leather cover to emphasise the originality of the wood grain. Elegant and refined, Pop-up is therefore ideal together with the matching sofa to complete a living room which does not lack style and practicality.
