Fly

Fly is a modern fabric sofa with a removable cover available in angular models, with a pouffe and chaise-longue. Also available as a linear sofa with 2, 3 or 4 seats, and with leather upholstery, it’s embellished by a solid, dark Ash Tree wood base, supported by metal feet painted in the colour anthracite .
A new addition to the upholstered collection, Fly is a modular seating composition created exclusively for Bodema by the Italian designer Michele Mantovani. The design was born from the desire to create a living room sofa, capable of meeting needs regarding space and comfort typical of contemporary homes, often characterised by open plan designs and shared environments. Fly is, in fact, available both as a standard linear model, and as a configurable version with individual elements and accessories. Fixed variants can be chosen in lengths of 200, 220, 240, 260 or 275 cm, and vast modularity allows for the sofa to reach maximum customisability. Sofas which are longer than 4 metres, with a peninsula, with an open corner element, with a lateral pouffe, with a hide leather top, or with just one armrest are just a few of the possible compositions of the collection.
The attention to the dimensional aspect of the sofa goes hand in hand with research conducted on the balance of proportions, which meet high standards in the case of the sofa Fly. The spacious seats, the low backrest and the wide armrests create a geometric appearance, softened by the large backrest cushions. At the same time, a light appearance is created by the high feet, which lift the sofa off of the ground. This also allows for easy cleaning of the floor under the sofa.
The vast range of textile samples selected by Bodema means that there are no limits when customising the upholstery of the sofa. Leather and velvet are valid alternatives to plain or mélange fabrics, offering a colour palette which ranges from the classics like white, red, brown and beige, to more original colours like purple, orange, cherry, cobalt blue. Whatever the final choice may be, the almond tinted Ash Tree wood platform functions as an elegant contrasting element.
