Murphy

Murphy is a space-saving sectional sofa with narrow armrests and a slim backrest, with a leather or fabric cover, goose down cushions and high feet in black MDF. Customisable regarding upholstery and dimensions, Murphy can be chosen as a linear or angular sofa, with a chaise-longue or end pouffe.
A new addition to the upholstered collection, Murphy was born from the collaboration between Bodema and Italian designer Umberto Asnago, who designed an elegant, comfortable sofa for the living room, perfectly finished on all sides to be suitable for placement in the centre of a room. The unification of artisan manufacturing and modern aesthetics is evident in the original, slim backrest, which frames the seat cushions and lightens the voluminous forms. Slightly inclined on the shorter sides, the hard structure becomes the distinguishing element which allows for the creation of a two-material, two-colour sofa, or a tone-on-tone composition. This is thanks to the available selection of leathers and fabrics. The slim structure is not only a decorative detail: the backrest and 10 cm wide armrests are space-saving elements, allowing for the sofa to be placed in small living rooms or lounges with reduced dimensions.
Devoted to comfort, Murphy offers a comfortable, welcoming seating experience. The backrest cushions contain goose down, while the seats and backrest have a mixed filling, which offers both support and softness. Comfort goes hand in hand with practicality: the sofa has a removable cover, and it is breakdownable, guaranteeing easy maintenance of the upholstery, and minimal strain when rearranging the elements of the sofa.
