Water is a rectangular hand-knotted short pile wool and viscose rug available in grey, beige and taupe and characterised by a very basic pattern: a wave inset in a lighter colour. Completely handmade, it is made using an exclusive Tibetan technique that achieves 62,000 knots per square metre.
Ideal for the living room or dining room, it is available in sizes 170x240 / 200x300 / 250x350 cm.
Minimalist, relaxed, the design of the surface recalls the curves of a river flowing through an stylised landscape of imaginary silent distant lands.
The use of two different materials side by side creates a fascinating interplay of shades whose qualities are enhanced by the "berai", a V-shaped cut that clearly separates the wool from the viscose. This unique material gives the carpet surface a rich, shimmering sheen, that makes us think of the water that inspired its name.
To add a playful touch to this large modern abstract rug, there are wool fringes in the same colour of the pile, applied by hand.
